The Employer Wage Subsidy component of the Workforce Expansion Program is a collaborative effort to bring the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Trainig and Labour's clients, unemployed New Brunswickers, together with employers.
The Program provides financial assistance to eligible employers in order to stimulate the creation of long-term employment opportunities for unemployed individuals. The Program also aims at encouraging the hiring of the province’s priority groups.
The program builds employer/employee relationships which promote the development of the unemployed by gaining skills that ultimately result in long-term sustainable full-time employment. The component also aims at encouraging the hiring of individuals from select groups.
