The departments of transportation for both New Brunswick and Maine were co-recipients of the Partnerships Award recently at the second annual Atlantica Champions of Excellence Award ceremony.
The award is given to two or more organizations or companies that have worked together to increase cross-border business activity and develop opportunities.
The ceremony was organized by the private sector: the Bangor Region Development Alliance, Maine Ahead and Bangor Metro magazines.“Over the past several years, these two partners have worked co-operatively across the border and within their own government organizations,” said Imelda Gilman, president of the Saint John Board of Trade, who helped make the presentation. “The departments of transportation in New Brunswick and Maine have been visible champions of cross-border economic development efforts.”
