Help us create a brighter future for the Canadian forest products sector

Hello,

The Forest Products Sector Council (FPSC-CSPF) is conducting a major study on the current and future labour market needs of the Canadian forest products sector to ensure we have the skilled workers we need to meet our future demand and growth.

The Canadian forest products sector has seen significant upheaval and uncertainty in recent years. However, demand for traditional forest products is returning, and new products and markets are emerging. There is a brighter future ahead.

The Conference Board of Canada, on behalf of FPSC-CPSF is conducting a cross-Canada online survey to:
· identify the key human resources issues, trends, challenges, and opportunities facing Canada’s forest products sector – now and in the future; and
· identify practices and strategies to address these HR issues and trends and strengthen the forest products sector and its workforce.

We want to hear from forest products sector employees, apprentices, employers, owners, managers, supervisors, self-employed, contractors, Aboriginal stakeholders, labour organizations, government, chambers of commerce, associations, education, training, forest sector innovation/science, sector councils, and others.

You can help by:
1. completing the online survey yourself, and
2. forwarding this information and link to your contacts, associates, or employees in the forest products sector, and encouraging them to participate.
